A Jazz Night

These paintings were inspired by a jazz concert that I went to that featured klezmer music with a Jazz interpretation. I was shocked to hear the music, which reflected my experience of Jerusalem as a marriage of old and new, historical and modern. This religiously observant group swept up the audience with excitement and meaningful tunes, and I attempted to capture the movement and music in these colorful paintings.
